Good Morning Neighbors!
Wow~~look at all the new folks~~so glad all of you'll are here--hope you'll come back often & talk "chicken"
9 degrees on the barn thermometer
Spring~~hurry up and get here
Only had 4 Silkies hatch yesterday out the 9 that went into lockdown
couldn't get the humidity up high enough. Of course I opened the eggs that didn't hatch and all the chicks were fully developed & had absorbed their yolk sacs so I KNOW it was the humidity. Have to fine tune this homemade bator because I'm putting in 18 new eggs today.
Sweet man of mine is doing a little better this morning
Got off the mountain yesterday for the first time in a week; I thought for sure the road would have been decent, but it was still a solid sheet of ice~~so glad I have 4 wheel drive. Once I hit the main road though, everything was clear. At least alot of people were still staying home, so I didn't have to fight the crowds to get the shopping done.
Lost one tree to those horrific winds; missed my FIL's house by about a foot~~~at least it gave him something NEW to talk about
Hope everyone is doing great this morning
