Hey Miss Lydia, Griz is doing well. He has adopted me as his person. It took him a day or two to come out of his shell, but there's no turning back for him now! He is pretty cool, and the ducks have finally gotten over their fear of him!

The eggs lasted MAYBE a day. Yummy! thanks again!!!

Ht where are you going at night? I can't seem to find anything open that sells such pretty birds! Kinda makes me want to see your barn. Bet you got chickens stacked up like cord wood, but all cozy for sure!

If you go in my barn you may not want to come out!

We have a 30x40 Horse barn that is slowly becoming a chicken barn.

My husband says that the chickens eat better than we do. They are pretty pampered and each group in their own runs, expect for those too small to be outside yet, they are in the laundry room in brooders.

Should have some pictures of some more new ones to post tomorrow evening too!

HT Love the buffs... they are my oldest daughters (12yrs) favorite. I have 4 PQ and promised her some SQ, when I ever get my income tax refund. She has been asking me about showing chickens....of course I'm thrilled. I have never showed but would love to and if I can get my children involved all the better. They have gotten very interested in the chickens & ducks this past year. Finally..... I have chickens for about 10 years and no=one cared. All of a sudden they help and are picking favorite etc... I love our chicken time together.

That is so wonderful to have your kids involved. There seems to be some much out there that isn't good for them but to get them interested in showing and caring for animals in this case chickens and ducks is really great. oh and HT you haven't said anything about my little ones lately whats going on with them?

They are just growing like weeds.

The two older ones have really gotten big over the past couple of weeks. I plan to put the three of them together this coming week so they can start getting acclimated with each other before coming to you. So far I still don't see any wattles that would indicate boys.

I wanted something other than white so I went with the beautiful buffs. I will try and get some better pictures of them tomorrow. It is suppose to be a trio and crossing my fingers that it is as they get old enough to really tell. This is all new for me, I know nothing about silkies.

Love the pics! And your posts about things I've never heard of (ex: pasty butts) are helping me get more of an idea of what I may face someday...still hoping hubby will get the vision...
