Anyone going to the show this weekend that is setting eggs sometime next week want a couple eggs?

I have 1 egg and should get 2-3 more from my standard black Cochins. These are out of show stock. You can see some pics on my website, link in signature. Their rears were trimmed back a couple weeks ago about the same time JJ, 7 months old, figured out he is a roo. I do not know if he is getting the job done yet, so these are free if someone has the extra bator space. They could all be duds, but I figured I would make the offer.

Although I must confess, seeing all these new chickie photos...well...

it's making me want to start my chickening adventures with chicks. At least then I could get oh...at least TWO of each, right BHep?

I have a question for you BYC'ers....... re staggered hatchings
If you are constantly adding eggs to your incubator at different times, what do you do when its time to stop the rotating, and lie them flat for hatching? Thanks, Nikki

I incubate in one and hatch in another therefore the rotation never ends.

We set once a week on a Friday that weeks eggs collected and go into lockdown every Tuesday, just got finished with lockdown as a matter of fact, and they hatch on Friday!

I then have a few days to clean and prep that hatcher for the next group.

This incubator is killing me!

It is back down to 97.3! I got the humidity to 45 but the temp will not stay up! Our tractor supply still has not gotten anything else in. This is the first time I have gotten any chicks from them last year we went and there was 8 chicks I took out that where bloody from being pecked

I am not getting any more but would consider saving those poor ones that are being pecked on.
