I also went with the Brinsea Oct. 20. with turner... I love it. I've seen the LG at TS & another feed store for $100 with turner etc. I paid $160 with shipping for my Brinsea. I KNOW the extra 60 bucks was worth it in the long run.

good morning - weather is a little warmer today

- I am sooooo ready to say bye bye to the cold.. I need warmth for my fingers.

I received a lovely present this morning - I bought them myself... they were a day late, thirsty and hungry but they are settling in. here is the auction I grabbed. I need to get some pics of them.. thanks to hattricksilkies.

oh yea 9 days to go in the mini advance brinsea <<I have blue/splash cochins in it BY THE WAY, why does every hatch seem like the first, 3 weeks of

waiting. and just think in a few weeks I am setting my first call ducks eggs. I think this may push me to the edge.

also last year when i was at our local TS they had a chick that was bleeding from being pecked.. I asked to lady if I could just take that one since I had already bought some on the previous visit and the visit before that and she wouldn't let me saying I HAVE to sell them in a box of 6 or she would just take it to the back... And believe me they know who I am - I only visit every weekend

It's a gorgeous day in WNC!! I hope everyone is having a great day! Went home at lunch and every single one of my girls were out completely melting in the sunshine, gotta love that one-leg out, dead chicken pose!

My little olive egger is still holding on, eating a tad bit more and still talking up storm, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

AND, great news, posted photos from my New Year's hatch and the general consensus is 5 outta 6 are pullets!!! WHOOT!!! Here's the thread if you wanna look at some real cuties! Guess this might make up for my last year's "Year of the Rooster" hatches, 9 outta 10 ended up to be roosters.

Well today was along day, I returned the incubator it went down to 83.1 and than spiked to 104.8! We cracked the eggs 4 where developing 2 others where fertile. The other 14 where not even fertile. So we went to tractor supply to return it and rescued a chick the was beat up during shipping. You know how I said I cant go into tractor supply, well that needs to be changed to my mom cant go into tractor supply

This is what we came home with.

So we are up to 7 chickens and 2 ducks. I don't think thats to bad
