Thanks for the suggestions!! My grandfather was a FP Doctor and he swore by whiskey (or high qualilty shine even!!

) on the gums!! I'm all about the opium...but I think I'd end up OD'ing of the stuff... I mean how else am I to sleep??

I have a mesh feeder (thingie) that I did give her an ice cube in...she hates cold things on her hands (takes after momma I am afraid) but I will still try the frozen washcloth!! Sadly, I was told that she might have a stomach "bug" - I honestly have heard from my seasoned elders that her symptoms are CLASSIC teething symptoms...I guess these "new fangled" doctors were never taught to listen to the wise teachings of their predecessors!!

Vfem - sorry today turned out to be icky!! I hope all goes well for your car despite the weather!!

Today...today I am working INDOORS since it is NASTY outside!! I have a few sewing projects that have been calling to me, which I have faithfully ignored up until today, I guess. Every little girl needs an Easter bonnet to go along with her Easter dress (and bloomers) so that is first on my list...then the DH wants me to make him a tie to match DD's Easter dress (is he smitten or what??

). Then I am thinking about getting started on my quilting project (starting = will put off until winter when I don't mind being stuffed under a warm blanket
gig.gif
) or maybe even working on making a few dresses for a little DD's upcoming 1 yr birthday!! <gasps> I either NEED more babies or chicks...can't handle this growing up stuff!!

Good morning everyone!

Babies! Yay! I hope we see pics soon! Especially the ducks - they are just the cutest little things!

Ruthann - my guy always did better with a frozen piece of steamed sweet potato or butternut squash than the ice cube in the awesome little "chew toy" mesh thingies. The ice cubes are just too cold and hard! But the veggies get squishy and are yummy. The homeopathic teething tablets help, too. But for my guy, once the tooth is through the gums the worst is over. Hope that's the same for your cutie. And hope it's not a bug!!

Vfem - How did the rest of the hatch turn out???

And

Does anyone know when and where is the next poultry show or swap/sale in NC?
I’m looking to buy a Silver Sebright pullet, and probable one or two Bearded D’Uccle mix pullets.
Thank you.

Have you been to the swap ??? We went about a month ago and it was pretty sad.... a few roosters and 1 goat. A waste of a drive for me, over an hour each way. Wondering if it is getting more people etc....

Well my car is detailed and it was a 3 hour wait in Raleigh, but it looks so pretty. I'd hug it, but its all nasty wet!

Anyways... my hatch is finished, turned out the 3 other silkie eggs we not fertile so none of them came out. That's ok... we have 9 happy healthy peeping chicks running around the coop and run with their mamas. Now for the hard part... which ones to keep, and which ones have to go. I only have room in the silkie coop for 2 more silkies max, and room in the Japanese Bantam coop for 2 more bantams. So I either need to make decisions... or build another coop!!! LOL
