The magpies are the larger size. The other dozen are mystery eggs, I'm thinking runners since they are white to green in color. They look like the runner eggs I hatched before. The calls are white. I have bought call ducks egg here before but only 2 developed & both quit at pip.

So for $1 an egg I will try again. I paid 45 for my last 6 eggs, I can't afford them again. I would rather buy ducklings or a breeding pair.

I do not have call but have been patienty waiting for eggs from a BYCer who has calls but they are moulting/on strike whatever. Wonder if we are waitnig on the same seller????

I also found 2 local people selling calls. I am patienty (again) waiting for my income tax refund.

The one guy has white, black bibbed & grey. Not sure about the other guy, he came highly recommended, but I will wait until I have the cash in hand before calling.

I wil; keep you posted on the fertily on these eggs & hopefully hatch some.

Good evening all... its been a busy busy day here. I've had to work, do some canning and now throwing together dinner before I run to help a neighbor this evening.

Gavin - Congrats on those little fuzzies! I love them silkie babies... they're what got me addicted.

BHep - I really hope they come through and work out. I am a TERRIBLE waiter!!!

suburbanchickymama - Thank you, I really wish hubby read everyone's great comments. He's nit picking now and doesn't know if he likes it yet?!

NewHomesteader2010 - I am yet to hear from the lady with the bees?! I was supposed to pick them up from Coats around the 1st, but I haven't gotten a response. I'm thinking positive and maybe some free bees will move in while we're waiting. My neighbor's hive is about swarm as the colony has gotten so huge, so we may end up with his little escapers!?

As for this week, don't be shocked if I disappear.... My schedule gets more and more hectic, and for some reasons... I just CAN'T get those extra 2 hours in the day I've been praying for.
