Hey just had to pop in to say we have a chick and a pip and I picked up an egg and just about dropped it because the chick inside was peeping so loud

If I seem excited It's because I am. Isn't life amazing!!

Never an easy decision. I am keeping my Gold cuckoo's long enough to hatch a few eggs from them and then I will be moving on my trio. Now that I have narrowed them down to a nice group I think they will produce offspring of what I am looking for and then work from there.

Good morning everyone! Just a post to let you guys know that I am reading all your posts and you are making me homesick

I grew up in NC and now live far away in Oklahoma - sure do miss those mountains (believe it or not, they think they have mountains here

) But life is good here, my chickens are happy. One day I will get to come back and visit , but until then, I will be reading all your wonderful posts

Just popped on before heading out to Cantata practice to tell you what my husband did to me this morning. He calls me on his way to the dump and says there's something go on in your coop, the chickens are going haywire. I'm freaking out thinking something is in there, and rush out to the barn to find.... Jemima has jumped the fence and is fussing something fierce to get back with the group!!

That made my day. The run should be finished this afternoon so they will get their first day outside IN their new run!!
