LD - what does treating water with fourth vinegar mean?? I put 1 Tbsp of AC Vinegar in their 7gal jugs to keep the mold/mildew from growing and I wash/disinfect the waterers weekly. Is that what you're referring to??

Sissy Allison here Em - Yikes - I would have freaked. I had a frog get in my house one night while Gavin was still at work- I was scared to death , took my big brave German Shepherds and Pugs into the bedroom and closed the door until the man got home.
ep.gif
I don't do creepy crawly critters - hamsters , rats , lizards keep them - I will stick with my furry friends

( and put up with the Gavin's chicken addiction ) OK I like the silkies

they are really fur babies - and OK the others are sweet too..... good day

I literally only have three fears. And they're all ridiculous.

Only on BYC do we talk about poop and how it changes.

Thanks again for the support everyone!!

Beth - I FINALLY won your--err my girls over...all it took was a little baked squashed!! DD had some leftover squash that she didn't want and so I thought why let it go to waste!!
lau.gif
Would you believe my snobs wouldn't touch it until after the girls devoured most of it....then they were like OH I have to have some!!
lau.gif

ML - thank you...only on BYC would someone tell me that it's good to watch poo!!
gig.gif
I bookmarked the poop page though, so hopefully I won't have to ask should there ever be a need...then again...I might just have to post another photo!!

G&A: There are only 2 things that scare me to bits: Spiders (any and all) and dogs...both are irrational fears, and ridiculous but alas I cannot shed it...so I completely understand!! I run/hide from all spiders and/or make DH kill them (or in the case of our resident blk widow...TRY to kill her.

)

It's great to know I'm not alone in my fear of spiders!!

Have a great evening everyone

Evening all, thought I would share a few pics of my cute EE cockerels that are going to be looking for new homes.

I also put a nice list of birds up on the 8 week & older thread in case anyone is looking for something particular.

I know this isn't chicken related, and a real long shot, but does anyone know of anyone who may have a place to rent NW to South of the Charlotte area. Doesn't have to allow chickens. (
ep.gif
I know, lol) But does have to allow pets. I am NOT giving up my 18 & 14 year cats for noboby!! Doesn't have to be a house, a trailer will do, or maybe a quiet apartment. There is just my husband, my 8 furkids, an me. Don't drink, don't smoke, we are pretty boring actually, lol. My husband works in South Charlotte, just above the SC state line. I'm on disability.

3 years of chemo and battling Breast Cancer is costing us our home.

Please PM me if you know of someone. Thanks!!!

Dogs were my biggest fear years ago
idunno.gif
- then I bought my first puppy
thumbsup.gif
- she was a 6 week old German Shepherd Dog ( Delta ) she was my baby Xdh and I raised her and she was the smartest dog ever - but she was very much a protection dog naturally - of course she was my baby and I was never scared of her , but others were of course she was huge 140 pounds. For some reason having " the mean dog " made me less fearful of other dogs. On another note please know I am a very responable dog owner , my dogs have always been in doors and never outside without me ... I never was blessed with children so that was never a problem , but I will admit all my dogs have been natural kid lovers even Delta. There is not much difference between a mean dog and a loaded gun .

I have had 4 German Shepherds - Delta who died at 12 years old. George died at 14 and truly my dog soul mate I will never get over the loss and he also was overly protective. Now I have Stewie and Lilly both very different and sweet natured pups - although I think Stewie could open a can of woop a$$ if he needed to , he is such a Mommys boy. I do love the chickens but dogs are my thing .

Good Day Peeps

Allison
