Not sure of all the details.... It was announced at the auction and notes were given out when we left. Starts at 10 am. There is a number on the notice for details 919-209-4443.

It says" bring your 1 month old or younger chicks and /or hatching eggs. Several other festivities offered as well"

I am going.... I have gold laced Polish, EEs, & hatching eggs. Not sure what else.. ???

ML.... Only time I have seen a bird not sold, is if the seller does not like the price & refuses all offers. Otherwise everything sells....sometime too cheep but it is the sellers choice to let it go or not.

Actually......the chickens are DHs thing but I do hint at a color or breed now and then.
lau.gif
I liked the egg color of the Marans and found some so now we have them.
tongue2.gif
Have EEs for egg color and trying to get some more JGs.
fl.gif
I came home from a swap with 1 lav and 2 blue ameracauna pullets because I liked the colors
droolin.gif
and just knew he was going to tell me we have enough birds but he loved them so I can find more........lol.
ya.gif
I don't think he is wanting roos but I can try to encourage him to lean that way so he can keep the color with hens if I find some at poor man's prices.
hu.gif
Thanks so much for the offer, I'll let you know if he wants them.

Great! No hurry over here. They're nice boys and not even crowing yet and I'll be sad to see them go. I've gotten lucky with nice boys! They came from BYC member MissD'Uccle and here's the link to her website with a little info about her Ameraucanas - http://michiganlastchanceranch.webs.com/chickens.htm - she was also super nice if you're ever looking for eggs!

ML & Allabout Well... I would WATCH what you get at the auction. You can go early (before it Starts @2) and view everything. I bought 2 buff cochin in Feb. they had mites, I treated them and they are doing great. I suspect they would turn away sick birds, but I have heard stories, like everyone else. I have gotten lots of hatching eggs, a couple of bunnies and some chicks. The chicks were from a girl I know that is NPIP. I have gotten birds from her farm and at the auction. Actually.... I paid less at auction then she sells on the farm.
smile.png
I hesitate to buy ....just like everyone else. I do not want to bring sick birds home. It is a great way for me to sell my extras, I would rather do that then craigslist.

CSB.... Too bad I did not know you were looking for Jersey Giants, I took 2 pair to auction yesterday

P.S. I have another peachick pipped this am.

One will go to my daughters silkies and the other moving the buff bantams orps over and giving their current 6x6 run to someone else.

Yesterday was spent cleaning all of the runs and moving a couple groups around, and I mean it was all day....
