I hope everyone made it through the storms okay!! It didn't do much out here but thunder and lightening....not sure if we got rain or not!!

So, DH offers to help with the chickens last night because DD was super clingy (hey, you would be too if you had FIVE shots...poor thing) and only wanted her mommy!!

So he puts the chickens away last night and even takes the feed from my car, to the storage bin, fills them up and all that for me. So this morning, I go to let the chickens out and what do you think I see?? Yup...the DH left the lid OFF of the feed all night long!! Two things I am super happy about: 1) there was still feed IN the bin (and no critters helping themselves to it) and 2) it seemed to be dry - I shoved my hand in it to see if it was wet and my hand came out dusty, so I am hopeful

that it didn't get wet!! There's 75lbs of feed in there, and I was worried it was going to get ruined!! So far, so good!! I honestly think the folks at Reedy Forks Farms put chicken crack in their feed because mine go CRAZY for it.

It seems as if I don't feed anyone in my house enough! DD devours her puffs at church (

someone told me I needed to feed that girl a hamburger or something because she's starving!!

) the chicks devour their feed (went through a 50# bag in 3 weeks with just 11 chickens) and DH...well we won't talk about how much he likes (or pretends to like) my cooking!!

Our great neighbors brought over tickets for us to see a Carolina MudCats game tonight...our first ever.

I do have great neighbors...if only my girls would start laying, I could either give them some eggs or better

bake them something special!! MMM....nothing tastes as good as freshly baked bread!! mmmm... HURRY UP AND START LAYING GIRLS!!

Any luck on your end G&A?? If so, please don't tell me.

I don't want to be jealous!!

Morning......

HT.....My Orps had their first day out freeranging yesterday and found their way back to the coop last night. They are getting big !

I will say that I THINK I have 1 Lav. rooster & 3 hens and 1 each of the big blacks.

Glad that the weather cooled down. I have some coop cleaning that has been put off for 2 days due to the extreme heat.

Hello everyone.

My RIR is now back outside in the pen with all the little ones. She is making herself boss after being picked on. Don't kow where she will end up, she was for the Eating eggs pen and all the rest are grow out and breeding pens. guess I'll just have to build more pens.

especailly no that I will be getting some Blue Wheaten Ameraucana chicks from greenfamilyfarms in the next week. Still not sure where my coranations will go when they come.

NH- glad your guys made it back to the pens. the beltline around Raliegh is the pits of you don't know where you are going. they have renamed it 3 times trying to make it easier to understand the signs and the dirctoin you are going. hasn't worked.

Bhep those peachicks are so cute. I love the long necks.

Everyone waiting for their pullets to start laying. Let get to together and do the Start Laying Now Dance.

NHS, I'm discussing with my neighbor about holding a class at her church, I just need to go up and meet everyone. I've met the members and we've taking out daughter to some of the activities they do... but we don't generally go there for church purposes. She said they love the idea and have a large kitchen the members use, and she's sure some of the members would love to show up for the class. If we finally get around to setting that up, I'll let you know! That way everyone just pays for herself and its less with the group rates anyways. But I promise its still fun! (I've been trying to come up with themes for these too.... like a bridal party theme and stuff?!)

Anyways, I'm still kinda not right?! I'm getting concerned. I feel like I have 10lb weights under my eyes and I haven't sleep in a week. However, I've slept plenty! I have no other symptoms to go with it, just total exhaustion. My husband says I look terrible. I guess its time I break down and goto the doctor. We're just really broke right now, and I can't even afford my co-pay until we get paid again. Otherwise, I would goto urgent care today. I do admit, part of me is REALLY scared this is serious as its so odd?!

vfem, we do tend to take better care of everyone else than ourselves. But I will be praying for you and do hope you start to feel better real soon. How about some of that Organic ACV in some cool water? I do it 3 times a day 2 cap fulls each time.

Thanks Lydia! I just too some 1 a day vits and some Vit D supplements. Still exhausted and getting kidda off balance. Someone suggested vertigo?! But who knows. I tried to call some doctor's offices, no one can take me until mid to late August. I can't live like this, my business is struggling because I'm just too tired to deal.
