Thanks Hen! We sure did have to make adjustments. Hubby was laid off like you in Jan 2010, he just want back to work this past Feb. I got laid off in 2007 when I was pregnant and I didn't bother going back to work with everything going on.

I know its not that same as you, and I really hope things only go UP from here for you. ((((((hugs)))))

Well, I just got back from the doctors and I had him scratching his head. Ended up doing several blood test, have to wait for them to come back on Tuesday. Blood sugar test came back at 43, turns out that's really low and not good! So we're testing for Anemia first, then we'll go from there. That would be the least amount of hassle of course, I can take care of that. But we did see something that makes us concerned about my kidneys... we'll wait until Tuesday before we jump the gun. However, I had to make a TON of promises to get to go home. They wanted to send me to the hospital and admit me, however my bloodpressure came down and my heart rate enough before we were done so I could just go home.

Man, I'm feeling old!

With a Glucose of 43 mg/dl you are very lucky they did not admit you! Did you eat anything beforehand? Maybe you need more protein b/c carbs are making you feel so bad? I hope they can get you straightened out! I'm an old school Med Lab Tech that has low blood sugar and mine has gotten to 50mg/dl. If I eat something with lots of sugar like a donut which I love more than anything, I almost feel drunk and so tired I can hardly function. I will pray for you!

Yep low blood sugar is not good. Protein, good quality peanut butter is my main stay. If I feel my blood sugar start to drop I get a tablespoon of peanut butter.

I'm being very careful with how I feel. My neighbor is going to come over every hour today to check on me. I'm not supposed to be alone today since I have a tendency to almost black out and get dizzy. However, my husband's job is too hopped up on punishing him for not getting enough sales this week that they made him work today (he even told them how sick I was and they told him to work faster and they'd let him go around 1 instead.

) So rather then being able to keep this private like I would have liked, I had to talk to my neighbor and see if they could babysit too since I'm not allowed to drive right now either. I just had some toast and jam (blackberry! YUM!) for breakfast and found some honey oat bars to keep with me while I'm working today. I also found some jelly beans

I'm looking forward to a nap after work already! I've only been out of bed an hour and I'm already tired again.... this REALLY gets old! Who could possibly sleep this much? I really am too active and booked with things to do to have this going on right now. July and November are supposed to be my busiest times.

But..... whatcha gonna do about it?!

I'm worried about the proteins though, he made mention of something of that and then didn't tell me much else... didn't want to jump the gun on what this could be. Just need to keep myself going and wait for the blood tests on Tuesday.

Went to the chick swap this morning, it was real quiet. I think they should have advertised some more

I only stayed an hour and a half. Came home with 2 dozen hatching eggs.

Great to meet BYC friends from this thread there.

I think my hatch is done.... 7/13 Seramas, 12/14 Silkies and 4/5 mixes. ( 1 is naked neck

) I wish I could get better hatches on the Seramas.

It was a slow swap and just not many folks there at all.

Cross my fingers you get a good hatch with your eggs.

So......after a few snakes earlier this season, it seems things have settled into that slow summer pace, now if the heat would just back off maybe I could get a few more things done around here.
