So Woke up today to my second "first egg" from Ruby one of my RIR. So I have 2 eggs out of my 20 or so pullets of Laying age....maybe she will keep laying, unlike Tillie Millie who layed 1 almost 2 weeks ago, and haven't gotten one since...

Welcome to all the newbies!!

Sorry to hear about your birds, allabout...I hope they are ok.

Thanks everyone it has been a really tuff morning. Something broke into our coop. If you are wondering this it not the big one we just built, but a smaller "Tractor Coop" for the chicks once they are old enough to go out. Anyway we woke up 4 out of 5 Guineas, GONE!

Thankfully we didn't lose all of our pullets only one little girl, who was a Bantam Buff Brahma

I am so done, first Coryza shows up out of no where and now we have another Predator

I am both upset and angry.

My little pullet as of last night isn't doing well at all, she has very watery eye's and they are all bubbly as well

We had that one hen a while back that we purchased that had Coryza, thankfully hers was already going on so we knew.

Are you positive it's Coryza and not just a form of a resp infect?? She has symptoms that allot get with CRD. If you give her some Tylan injectable she will start to feel better very very quickly. Unfortunately they are chickens and things just happen.

Start treatment ASAP!!!!

We don't have Tylan on hand and are feed stores don't have it either. I am just worried more than anything, we just brought two hens, and some chicks into our flock not long ago. I kept them apart for 35 days to make sure nothing popped up but know the one hen we brought into our flock and the one chick have this going on. I was able to get some pictures of the pullet that I can put up for everyone to see, maybe that might help?

Thanks

This may sound harsh but I will tell you that if you do not go find her some Tylan you might as well just go ahead and put her down and end her suffering.....

Duramycin powder is not going to work regardless of what she has!! Call a tractor supply or southern states or any other farm supply store you can find. Know anyone else in your area that may have some Tylan on hand and let you borrow it till you can get your own? You will also need syringes to administer. Sorry, just trying to help save her as she has already been without since yesterday.

I found a place that has Tylan, but he told me I shouldn't give in to chickens because it's a Goat and Cattle wormer

I know I need to get her on something I hate seeing her suffer. Is the stuff that guy has, what I need? If so we will go and get it!

Thanks

I just wanted to make sure.
Should I give it to my turkey poult as well? He has fluid build up on one side of his face, runny nose, and was breathing thru his mouth. I had someone tell me to try Duramycin for him first. My one pullet that has it is a bantam and only about 3 months old, should I still give her 1/2cc ?

Thanks again

I don't have turkeys but don't see why you couldn't use tylan on them as well as they are poultry?? If your turkey has fluid in the face not sure dura would really help???

I would give your pullet about just under 1/2cc her first dose that way she is getting a good boost, you could then back it off just a teeny tad for the remaining two doses and see if she is better on day three.
