looks like 17 Silkies ( blue , black , white, partridge, splash)
22 Seramas ( 8 from one seller, 14 from another)
2 bantam NN frizzles
2 surprise ducklings .... I had 4 eggs in the incubator, checking fertility, hatched in the turner

( dry incubation)
and 8 button Quail (still hatching)

Interesting observation:

All my shipped eggs have hatched day 19 & 20. I am thinking they were starting to incubator in transit due to the extreme heat. Buttons hatching day 11

I bet so, it's a wonder they weren't all cooked when you got them. Thats alot of chicks, what breed of duck?

First hatch due Wednesday and Thursday (Silkies, RIRs, Porcelains). 21 days feels like FOREVER...I'm so excited. ^.^

These will be the first round...but I actually have 2 incubators running at FULL (1 Still-Air, 1 Forced-Air). A good friend of mine shut his cabinet off for the year and gave me his smaller incubator along with a TON of eggs to "try" along with my own. So I have a bunch of chicken eggs due all over the rest of the month and next ( and turkey eggs, duck eggs, guineas, and 2 peafowl). I'll probably have more eggs when these are out. I think this counts as being "thrown into the deep end" as far as hatching/incubating goes. LOL. Glad I have a good resource at BYC.

Oh you got the Birdflu for sure! Your gonna be up to you elbows in cute fluffy, wait you said turkeys?? Em, don't you like turkeys?.... Enjoy the hatching. It's addictive and some will look at you funny, but they are just jealous! I'm still looking for the goose that lays the golden egg myself. I just need, need, need says my dear Wife! I truly love all my animals, but I could see an emu or two! A mini gobbler would be a riot if there was a thing? Y'all be good now! Off to Moms to get Will and Kate. Seems the Coon has called all his friends! And I think the accident has really given mom a reality check as to what they can do on a daily basis. Chasing off Coons is off the list!

Hey all! What an exciting day.... DH is out of town picking up our new "used" horse trailer and I have a surprise waiting for him when he gets home!!

I purchased him a beautiful 6 month old registered Kiko goat buck!!!!!!!!

He is going to be sooo surprised to come home and go out to feed and find 4 goats in the pen, I can't wait to see the look on his face.
