Best pic of the week!!!
Not in my coop area that I know of. I did see about 15 or so baby racers this spring. Found a huge skin a few weeks ago. I think my cat and dogs patrol too much for one to make it. And in the coop area there is no place to hide, unless it's going in one of the trees? Y'all have safe weekends!!!

my girls are finally into enough of a molt that they have clamed up on the eggs

Very cute! The chickens too!

HT - where are you? I'm assuming pick up?

We culled my evil roo yesterday and the girls are already more relaxed and friendly. In fact, they've been responding to the calls of the roo in the bantam pen!! I think I'm going to need to find them a nice quality roo who will threat them like the ladies they are instead of beating up on them and otherwise terrorizing them until they hide on the roof of the coop. I have BO hens and Cinnamon Queen hens in there. Any advice as to which breed of roo I should look for? I'd like some pure eggs, but am open to barnyard mix in order to have happy, well protected girls. No more RIRs!!

I am over in the Hickory area. Pick up is welcome but I do also ship (weather permitting of course).
