Okay, now my BTB JB is getting aggressive with my DH. Any chance TWO different Roos could decide they don't like him near their hens and it's NOT something he's doing/smells like/etc that's causing it? I couldn't be so unlucky that both my Roos would turn evil, could I? Oh, yeah. Murphys law.

I am going to build an incubator out of an old cooler. I will post pics and video on my blog but posting in different threads I will probably forget to post pics in all the threads that asked. Lol. I plan on hatching some cochins, maybe some silkies, ducks, and a heritage bird I haven't decided on yet lol. I'm excited but just in the planning phase right now.

Just don't expect to get much for him. $2-$5. Just giving you a heads up. It's a long trip for you to make such little $. You would almost be better off placing a CL add for free.

IDK..... sounds like they see him as a threat.

I have lots....LOTS of roosters and not one is aggressive towards me or my kids. I have heard some people say that they hold & carry around their aggressive roosters for a few minutes everyday. There has to be info on here somewhere. Good Luck.... or else I guess he will taste yummy.

I have a rooster (he is the man in charge of the flock) who is the sweetest little guy( sits in my lap etc) but hates strangers! He flogged one of my friends the other day, and I scooped him up told him no, and kept him with me for 30 minutes or so and he kept looking at me like...I didn't mean to mommy please put me down this is embarrassing needless to say he hasn't done it again.

Pics yet, Gavin??

DH gets eggs from them several days a week and takes the scratch several days, but I am their primary caretaker and the one who spends the most time with them. We've only had this roo two months and he is eight months. His previous owner admitted she didn't handle him enough and he is very shy. Maybe I'll try holding him more. I hate force holding, but if it might calm him, I'll try it! I doubt we'd get more than two nuggets off him anyway! He has three hens, but only one JB like him. The other two are BCs. Could he not have enough hens?
