thanks miss Lydia - I am on a lot just more of a reader than poster per say.. happy for you on getting new ducks - my call ducks are a joy, very loud but a true joy.. My flock wasn't complete until I got them. I hope you boy duck enjoys his new girls...

I think I ask you before but what breed of ducks do you have?

I have Muscovy and I went today and got 3 new girls, they got kinda messy from the ride home so after they get cleaned up I'll post some pictures. They are around 7 weeks. He also had some calls, first time I ever saw any in person, they are adorable and tiny. those faces...

Egg #2!!!!!!!!!! I don't know who laid it!? I'm thinking the Welsummer? It's a little bigger than yesterday's Marans egg, and much lighter and more consistent in color. I had checked no more than maybe 2 hours ago and no one was in the nesting box or anything! Whoever it was, I LOVE IT!!!!! So exciting!!!!!!!!!!!

SCM, beautiful eggs! I am so jealous! Still just bantams laying. My formerly broody hen still isn't laying again either. It's been two weeks. Anyone know how long?

Serious ! Unless you want me to hatch them out for you and you take ALL the chicks. Then no problem. I would like all the poopers out of the house before it gets too cold to move them out.

We counted all things feathered and I am shocked

And on top of everything..... we finished cleaning up the chicken house, water & electric up and running, got the whole back of the property brush hogged down and cleaned up and ready to move birds in and a devil wind came through and ripped 2 roof panels off one side and pealed up a roof panel on the other.

Awwww hate about the roof panels but I do know how to swing a hammer and hit a nail once outta every third swing or so

seriously......can help out if needed and you know I take all unchoosen chicks
