Thanks everyone... there are some REAL GREAT pictures. They have now put them on page 3 of the thread so everyone can see them. I suspect it will be difficult to choose. He is a pretty little bird with a great big personality.

Hope you're all having a good weekend! Busy busy here! Girls are still laying - very slowly! I'm up to 8 eggs so far. I'm really hoping some of the others start laying soon!!!

Bhep - love the pic! Voted! Man, some really great photography! Choosing the month was kinda tricky!

Gosh, I am really hoping that it doesn't rain today! If it stays away it will be the 1st day without in 5 days! The coop is a stinky, muddy mess!!!!!! I can't take it anymore!!! Not to mention the rest of my yard.

I'm going to get some straw today and throw it in the run to try and help the situation a bit I think.

Thanks, Beth. I thought it might be one of those too but wasn't sure.

This rain needs to GO AWAY!! My girls are so miserable. Went to TSC yesterday and bought some rubber boots so I could wade into the coop. Poor babies! And I've either got a very opinionated JB hen whose upset about the rain or she's on the verge of going broody. She goes into the coop to lay, but takes a looooooong time which isn't like her as she is my McLayer, has to rearrange any eggs not collected yet and when in the pen clucks the whole time. She could be puffed up but with as wet as everything is I can't tell!!

That sounds so fun!!

I'm in recovery mode from the beach. My poor wife was the slipping slider in the coop for me! I heard all about it, and am gonna pay! Lol

I had fun and it was worth it! Next time I will take her, some how my buddies got me in the sun without me applying my sun screen. Not bad, but it wouldn't be an issue if I had only taken my wife! I made a mistake. I love her much!

All my kids seem to have missed me! The Gary's doubled in weight, and obvious numbers! If I even approach the silkies with them my lil hen goes Ape nuts! She would peck my arm off for one I bet! Her man can't seem to get his down before she rips the bigger portion out of his beak after inhaling her first two. She must of been a pig in her past life!

Candled my eggs last night, all but two looked good! They will
Hatch right after the show on Monday or Tuesday. Praying for pullets! Got 6 bcm boys now, and not needing more!

Can't wait to see all the new birds!

FINALLY found the MIA hen's hide out. Well.... my youngest DD found her. Funny thing is I LOOKED right there, found a nest of duck eggs, but completely missed the hen.

My mom sent her to collect and dump the pile of duck eggs and she spotted her. She is pretty safe, up behind our fireplace in some sort of deadly yucca plant. DANG!! ... the fronds on that plant are SHARP.

I did snap some pics, but obviously need a suit of armor to get back there and see what she is sitting on.

17-18 more days will tell.
