I will be quiet today...off for my Ultrasound of the wee one and spending the rest of the day helping my SIL make some baby shower gifts (on my sewing machine...so technically I am making them??) Chicken news: a) I NEED more hens and b) they are LOVING their free ranging afternoons (although I am sure there are eggs floating around in the yard...somewhere as i only got 2 yesterday!!). They follow me around the yard just waiting for me to drop something for them!!
My chickens are the BEST!! Therefore...I NEED more!!

Well we have two babies this morning, one bantam orp and a GC marans. Lots of eggs with pips and zips, should be a busy hatching day!
Sad to say that I habe 3 serama eggs in there with no pips.
The hen is just so small that her eggs are extremely tiny and near impossible to hatch.
Oh and did I forget to mention... for all you silkie lovers that I will be setting a test batch soon to see if my young cuckoo has found his way to the ladies. Yes they will be hodge podge colors but should be cute just the same.

No more hatched yet.... we have no idea why that one did hatch so early, day 21 is this coming Friday......... will keep you updated, we used bread bag ties to pull it's legs back in to place,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I'm gonna put in a plywood bottom, cover that with easy peel tile, and then put 1/4'' x 4 boards around the sides. And PRESTO CHANGEO I've got a new brooder
