I think these bugs get immune to all the chemicals we use. I hate to have to use anything on my dogs but when you see the fleas crawling on them something has to be done. I even use Epernix pour-on on my chickens to keep mites and lice off of them. I have tried the all natural flea products, they don't work and have spent alot of money finding it out. So now I will try comfortis. I'll go get the link and be right back. Don't know how to do it from here.

Thanks. Youre right about only being able to get it from the vets. We've looked other places, so thank you for a cheaper alternative!

Your welcome I feel as many times as we have been in the revolving door together going into all the threads that we know each other pretty well, and always want to help out a friend. I just hope this stuff works.

ML: I have to say I feel the same! My DH keeps teasing me about my e friends but it is true! And we do seem to belong to many of the same threads. Ah well, great minds and all that! I do appreciate the info though. And I finally found that guy who breeds rare and unusual chickens. His wife emailed me that I am welcome to come visit any time! Unfortunately they don't have any of the type of Roos I'm looking for at this time...but you never know what I might come home with!!

Good morning all.

I have three cockerels that I need to dispose of quickly. Two are BOs and one one is a light brahma. All are 5 1/2 months old and are hatchery quality.

Way too many roos for my small flock.

I have promised them out three times and all three times have been no shows. If the latest person doesn't show today, they are available.

Daver, you have no idea how much I wish you didn't live over three hours away! I've been looking for a BO roo for two months, but that is just too far to go. Good luck!

Good morning! Busy weekend and a little party for my youngest son's 1st bday today!!

Made yummy pumpkin cupcakes full of all kinds of fresh yummy spices straight from Grenada care of the newlywed's honeymoon! And then 2 little pumpkin shaped cakes for my son to smash and another little 1 year old celebrating to smash. Should be fun!

Jl - I hear ya about the fleas, but for us it's been ticks. We finally went with the injection that is available now and that has helped a bunch - though my 2 year old did find 1 little sucker on 1 of the dogs.

But it has been way better since the shot - I can't remember what it was called!

Oh, and still no egg from my grumbly girl, but she and 2 others have been in and out and in and out of those nesting boxes so I'm hoping we're close! Good ol' Esme is keeping them coming though!

I have no idea where Linden is but if you want to meet around Raleigh I'll be happy to take them.

ROLL CALL: Who is going to the Wicked Chicken Auction today?? I'll be there around noon.

That stinks.

I did find, on craigslist, this morning, someone who will take them. I'll call them later in the day.

Know now to start getting rid of excess roos early.

Almost forgot the big announcement!!!! EGGGGGGs!!!!!!

First came last Wednesday and have been averaging one a day since. Looks like both breeds are laying but I don't believe all of them are laying yet.
