vfem, my hubby would just die, too, but that didn't stop me from considering it when I saw those pigs..LOL

I could always say he wandered up...

I honestly don't know much about pigs... I'm afraid of getting myself into something I'm not ready for. I'm a big 'research' before person... with the exception of chickens. I got those as a joke, loved them so much I learned ALL I could. I even got a job working with chickens.

Maybe if life takes a better turn for us in 2012, I'll look into pigs. The small pet pigs of course.

Really, vfem? What kind of work with chickens? I'm with you on research which is why I'm kicking myself for picking up a goose and 4 quail at an auction a few weeks ago that I probably should have left there...

Anyone need a goose or 4 quail?

Maybe this is a silly newbie question but I am confused on the cleaning of the eggs once collected. It seems as though if not done correctly you risk contamination. I wanted to boil a few eggs and am wondering if I am going about it right.

I do not have the special egg wash (probably should get some though

) I simply wipe them with a cloth... but boiling them would do the same as running them under cold water. Do I risk issues with boiling my eggs without washing them with the special cleanser?

does any of this make sense? did in my head but reading it now I am confusing myself..

Maybe I should just ask this.. what is the CORRECT way to wash my eggs? and how do I wash them without the "chemical infested" commercial cleansers?
