Well, the rain has found its way to us!! Booo!!
Susan is acting "normal" today with the rest of the chickens...her tail is still down though. I am going to give her some of the vitamin supplement and see if that doesn't perk her up any. If it was worms, wouldn't the whole flock be affected? Should I worm them anyway? Is there a way to worm them collectively so I don't have to shove a syringe into their mouths?? Should I just leave well enough alone (aside from the vitamins)??
I am at a loss!! Maybe this is a sign that I am not cut out to be a chicken owner...I feel completely inadequate!!

And don't we all, Try her on the vitamins for a couple days or more and if you don't noticed any improvement then get some Wazine it's for worming chickens and you put it in their water, it will only kill round worms but that is what mine mostly get anyway. Glad to hear she is acting normal. Yes the worms will affect all the chickens but they might not be a the stage she is yet. if it is worms. I worm in the fall and spring and then if i see any worms in poop yes i am a poop watcher I will worm again.

Can I get Wazine from TSC as well? Is there a specific name/brand/dosage?? I too look at poop and haven't seen any worms, but that doesn't mean anything - from what I'm learning. yes get the wazine at TSC and it will give you directions on the bottle. very good time since egg laying is down. And try not to get too stressed out about this, it's all a learning experience and we do as best we can. Last trime I wormed with Wazine I forgot and we ate the eggs, now I wouldn't say do it since your pregnant and with your wee one but we are fine from it, probably just aren't wormy any more.
