As far as gardening we try to buy plants from local greenhouses, which are plentiful. Getting already established plants saves time, energy, and money. This year a 4 pack was $1.5 - $2 depending on where I got them and what it was. Some things do better from seed since replanting can hurt plants with the more fragile roots. Ordering seed can get you seeds that just aren't available locally. If you are doing bulk seed orders then I would get those in before the end of January.

Succession planting is essential to keep in Vegs till frost. That is if you have the room. There are times in the summer that we will eat fried squash every other day or MORE. We plant squash by seed and try to get seed planted for 6-8 plants ever 2-3 weeks. Squash can be planted in between other rows. Sometimes we will have a cluttered garden before something comes out. Just depends on how well we actually planned ahead, which we don't do very often.

COOP!, I have 9 baby silkies right now and I know a few are gonna be roo's. If you'd like/are allowed to have roos they'll be ready for sale early spring and I could probably throw a gorgeous hen in to sweeten the deal

I have a problem…the biggest of my 3 roosters is flogging me! He has torn my pants and has broken skin, he is picking on and fighting my other 2 roosters! He is huge about 9lbs and with our finicial/food problem I just can't bring myself to kill and throw him away! And I've never cleaned a bird and thought of doing it and doing it alone scares me! I don't know what to do, I'm afraid of him and the killing/cleaning! HELP
