It is a good thing that my husband will be headed out of town for work for a while! Why, you ask???????? Well , I had to work last weekend, it was bad enough that we couldn't go to the Wicked Chicken, but..............when I got home, he had gotten 2 new Cochins. They are beautiful, one is blue and the other is a tri-color! I was off for 3 days, then back at it today. And, low and behold, he bought more chickens!! 1 Black Jersey Giant hen, 3 Cochin hens!!! Either I am going to quit work or he has to get out of town!! ( he does contract work and is gone for a month or so at a time ) While he is gone, I will not only be working 3 12 hr shifts and caring for '..............1 golden retriever, 9 cats, 2 goats, and 22 chickens!!!!! LOL!!

the partridge is to early to say but the splash is looking a little rooish, but it could still be a hen, give them a little bit longer

Luke - actually the partridge I am betting will be a girl, partridge are one of the easiest in the silkies to sex, as they start feathering out the boys/girls should feather out differently. Girls will have the penciled effect all over, the boys will have some penciling, but mainly to the wing area and the hackles come in a different color.

Those little ones are Light Brahma (dad) and Barred Rock (mom) or RIR mixes. I went and got them and their dad was at least 13 lbs and very friendly.....BTW GOOD MORNING everyone!
