We were all the way to the right, if you are facing the auctioneer. My kids were all heads tucked down playing their DS's , except for Breanna....apparently ! LOL
Awww.... wish I would have looked around. We going to try to get another BYC/WCA get together the end of Feb. If I go sooner I will be sure to let you know.

Ally in my experience bucks get along just fine together, girls on the other hand tend to be much more territorial.

X2 My girls would tear each other up. I have found rabbits almost like to be by themselves.

You're about two hours away from me. Looks like you cleaned up at the auction! I saw so many I would have loved to take home with me but Im not set up for anything other than my silkies. I'll just have to live vicariously thru everyone else!! LOL!

I think he will fill in quite nicely. My other colors I got from Sandy were kind of slow to fill in, but once they did they are super looking!!! I think hi swings will get better as he ages as well, I don't think its split wing, just a loose issue right now - but I'm also not experienced enough to tell the difference honestly...Age wise he is maybe 17 weeks old.

Sure thing I will bring him if I go, and I will let you know if I am going this coming weekend or the next weekend after, I will let ya know so we can set something up! I have another white thats 11/12 weeks old - no idea on sex - want that one too? LOL

That one is kind of a mystery chick though, although the woman says many of her birds came from Sassy Silkie lines and Catdance eggs....soooooo its up to you! I have 1 white that is killing me from Sandy, I have been on the fence about that one's sex for FOREVER!!!! But thats Snow - my daughter's bird and boy/girl it stays no matter what - its just her pet and her favorite bird period. lol I have no intentions to breed whites so the extra white teen I have is all yours if your interested...He/she is looking good too, all the other chicks I hatched from those eggs are fab and beautiful!

Oh yes, my best have often been the ones that left me waiting forever for two things. What the heck sex are you and when are you going to fill in?!? Some in my grow outs now I'm staring at with no patience but I have that nagging idea not to cull them yet because my luck they are just late bloomers! Lol

Defintely want both the whites. I keep saying I'm done with whites but it never really happens!! Grrr! I can't stick to my guns obviously haha The idea was to give my white Roo away to my kiddos babysitter because him and her were bonded and then just keep my white girls for eggs and broodies. I have one I want to show as well if I can ever get my feet wet with showing! Lol! Now I'm here thinking darn it, I wish I still had my Roo!! Soo yeah, here I go again

I have been busy with the ceramic Christmas tree sales and brooding chicks(20) and ducks(3). Also new bunnies(3). Yes, inside my house basement, gross

Note to self, DON'T do that again!! I think I almost pushed DH to the edge. The edge of, get these stinking birds out or the .22 will! I atleast was able to move them to the outside shed with a heat lamp, hmmm now I'm having dreams of turning it from a shed to a coop.

Brooding chicks inside during the winter sucks! I just got thru that stage with some of mine. They were too old to be inside but it was too cold to put them outside! Ugh! Not to mention I'm super allergic to chick dust!! Haha! I totally picked the wrong hobby right?!? I'm scheming to add a small setup to my screened sunroom at the moment. Hmmm... It never ends I swear! If it were up to me every square inch of available space would be dedicated to silkies. Thankfully I have glimpses of sanity from time to time.

My son keeps asking when "those kids" can come over again...LOL That's the bad part about being an only child in a small town.

We initiated immgration proceedings about 6 weeks ago for my stepdaughter in Brazil to come live with us. We are thinking the process may clear in the summer. She's 12 and won't know anyone (or speak English)..

Hi everybody I don't care that's its 2:30 am or that I have a cold, I'm just so happy byc is finaly on tapatalk! YAY YAY YAY, ok you know what……this site is just as addicting as the chicken

AND speaking of chickens, I'm buying a bunch of different kinds of chicks from a guy in the next county…im not addicted I can stop wanting chickens at anytime…

I've got a question, little giant vs hova bator, both stillair (mite get fan kit) and both hold 40 eggs, but in ya'lls honest opinions which do you think is better?
Also would a blue 60 gallon barrel, with a tarp/flap door, a 2x2 stuck through it, sitting in a run work as a temp/ qurantine coop? I ask because a friend of mine ended up with two hens and she can't keep them and I have no where to qurantine.

Go with a hovabator over a LG any day! If you must get a LG do yourself a favor and glue a dimmer switch knob or something similar to the temperature stalk. Those things are ridiculous to adjust temperature on!! A tiny adjustment can result in a huge difference without the modification! Also while I'm on a roll trying to be helpful and save people the frustration I went thru with my LG. weather strip the lid and get the temp stable days in advance. I prefer stabilizing temp in my LG with both plugs out. If the temp dips plugging one of the holes seems to help that and adding folded hand towels to the windows and/or using masking tape around the seams if the lid. I added water thru the vents when I did that. Wire a computer fan yourself and save some cash! $10 or less. Power it with an old cell phone charger. Super easy and instructions can be found here on BYC. If I can do it anyone can do it!! Biggest advice, don't touch the knob after you've got the eggies set. Give it time and trying everything short of touching the knob!!

All of that said, my LG hasn't been touched by me since I've gotten a HB 1588 to replace it. I also have a browser top hatch, a brinsea advanced, a falls harvest and a custom cabinet incubator. If you live near me I coukd pretty much just give you my LG if you want it lol no turner but I do reccomend you get one!!

The barrel idea sounds legit! Just make sure it's either super clean or food grade.
