You are correct Beth, I do have bantam lav orps. There are actually only three of us in the US that I know of working on them. They are still a project and at this point none have been released. I have been hatching and growing out F2's for a few months now.

I was reading that llamas are good backyard protectors...I wonder if they will chase these annoying deer away from my yard!! LOL Okay, back to my resting, staying hydrated, eating saltines and being ill & bored... I was told by a nurse friend that nausea this late in the game could be a sign of pending labor (YAY) but sadly this would be too early so it would not be a good thing, if that was the case. I think this baby is just going to be difficult (like me) and a trouble maker...lol besides, I am under STRICT orders that he/she cannot arrive before 3/27!!
Umm... all is good.. hubby is the incubator king around here... I just love on the little fuzzballs once they peck out.
My little call ducks started hatching out yesterday... (a day early)... 3 already out, fluffy, and beautiful. 2 more taking a bit longer... me & hubby have been peeping in at them every time we pass by the incubator. I will take some pics once everyone is out and rested up.

The little black & white hen is the newest one... not sure of her breed... or any of the ones in this pen, but I like them and am gonna see what kinda offspring they might produce. This is gonna be my mutt pen.
