We had to put Flexy down.

She was doing really well after she slept a couple hours. She was eating and drinking. I gave her about 20 mealworms that she gobbled down in her usual manner.

When Mom got home we were able to really check her over. The side and back I think would have healed with time and alot of TLC, but we found a bigger problem. She had a good size piece of intestine hanging from her vent. It had been torn off inside her and was a mangled piece of meat hanging by a corner. There was no way to even try to fix that. Maybe with major surgery at a Vet's office, but that is way more then we could afford. Instead of waiting for the inevitable infection we put her to rest.

She is buried next to her sister, Specks, who died from a snake bite in '09. They were hatched by me, by incubator, May 28, 2005. Both had good lives and I hope were happy during their time. Their remaining sister, Midnight, is still going strong.

Matt

So sorry Matt, I hope that dog doesn't come back but if it does I know you'll be waitng.

Ok... Let me tease you with my sweet baby gliders...
They are exotic marsupials that hail from Austrailia... the females carry their offspring in a pouch, much like a Kangeroo. I started out with a young pair about a year and a half ago. Who have produced offspring twice now.
Their first daughter.. I raised for my neice, last summer. Then they had a set of twin boys this winter.

These are pics of my last batch of babies. I kept one male and sold the other. Then I bought him a mate, from a couple who were expecting their first child and didn't have the time to care for their 2 year old, female glider anymore. So, I now have 2 pair.

They love to eat fruit. Watermelon being their favorite treat.

They also love playtime in the tent.... jumping, running, climbing, hanging upside down, gliding to the top of my head from the tent top, grooming my hair, chasing each other & being an all around mess.

That is just too precious..
