HOLY MOLEY!!!!! I went out to get those new lav orps and almost fainted at his setup!
1 pen with maybe 50 or 60+ lav orps, 1 pen with 100+ lemon cuckoo orps, 1 pen with flowering hens?......a pen with light sussex, I can't even remember what else!?!?!?!?!
So i went to get 5 and ended up getting 10! and I'm in LOVE!!! pics coming soon....I wish I had taken pictures while I was out there....it was like Disney Land for chicken lovers

And then I drove up when you were leaving and got the rest of his lav Orps. I loved his huge Silver Sussex roos. So tempting. And the Lemon Cuckoos. and him. What a lovely gent. We started talking chicken, and he ended up asking for my phone number...for recipes!

I let him know about the swap at FFS and the WCA, so may see him at one or the other.

I am not sure.... but I think you will need some kind of permit or license or something. I know you can not just set one up anywhere you please, even your own property. I think the reason they have them at the feed store is because they go under the stores license to sell. You may want to make some phone calls to the town, county or maybe someone here can jump in.

At least in our area there are NO special permits needed to hold a swap. The only recommendation is that those selling have their green card from the state to sell. Again, one of those things I cannot enforce but if a state officer were to come and ask to see it and you don't have one you could get a fine?
