Cannot find the free poultry license on the NC AG site. I had one but it ran out. The link in the chicken stock thread isn't working for me.

In other news, I get my first shooting lesson today. DH is gonna teach me how to shoot a gun. Ought to be fun, LOL. I am a big chicken myself.

Cool, pulls up for me now. I never know if it is a link or my iPad, LOL.

This was my very first time holding a gun and my first 2 shots hit my targets I was aiming at! Second shot was a 20oz pop bottle! What a rush.

I got the answer to my question on licensing for quail today, by calling both offices. The Ag office wasn't sure if I needed the Wildlife permit, but was quite sure I needed their hatchery permit. The Wildlife office was quite adamant that I needed both. Since the Wildlife one is $5, I figure it's a safe call anyway.

I did talk to them about NPIP. For some strange reason they have nothing in writing about this. He said it's on the agenda for next year! So that puts me out of it for now. I've learned my lesson with government stuff. I want it in writing before we begin.

Good evening all, a busy week at work finished, thankfully.....

Day 19, all on lockdown got 37 eggs in the incubator to hatch Fri, Sat or Sun....... Am I excited? naw...... (And I am a really bad liar).....

Can ya'll tell me how to care for eggs sitting on the counter? I'm going to start collecting the silkies eggs to put in a friends incubator, can I sit them in an egg carton and just let them sit? Or do I need to turn them? Or what? Thanks!
