the new seating sounds pretty bad

I don't wanna sit like that all day, I hope they change it before I go back.

It is quite awful... I don not know what they were thinking... but somebody did say there was quite a bit of alcohol involved during the construction of those bleachers... so I am hoping they stay sober while they fix them this week.

We did tell them what we thought about them... well before boards started breaking. I would not sit too far back for safety reasons, as I did not want to end up on the ground, myself.

Thanks Mary for the info. I just learned some things I will need to know when we go the 22nd. Like if you bid it will be multiplied by the number of animals in the box. I would never have know that. I can't wait to go. So excited. Even got myself a "chilling with my peeps shirt". Really hope to meet somebody you asvwell and help me with the auction.

Sure thing... just let me know who you are... I am always there.

Good Morning Everyone...not much going on here. Plan on planting and weeding and GIVING UP!! I have come to the conclusion that my "egg" is a dud and is never going to hatch!!

Maybe if I quit waiting, something will happen. For now...there is a garden that needs my attention and since today is the "official" due date, we'll see if/when/IF anything happens!! Have a great day all!!

I hope your egg hatches soon... you are sounding miserable.

You are an egg hatching guru.
Maybe I could come pick them up sometime this week. If you didn't mind me doing so?
Just let me know, Beth. We have a GPS and could find you with an address.

Now a days there are plenty of people who look pregnant and aren't...I'm sure I'd fit RIGHT in. LOL I think it's a boy because DH is so stinking stubborn and wants everything done HIS way!! LOL.

Good idea!! I NEED to pick up feed & oyster shells, so I am thinking of doing that tomorrow after the doctor's apt...since we'll be in "town". Maybe all that running around will also help. After all, I HAVE to feed my chickens so it's not something I can skip!!

Here's hoping it works!! LOL

Okay Boy then. Taking after Dad..

So after reading a few threads on here about brooder bedding. I believe we will be looking into using pine pellets. Has anyone here used them in their brooders? If so did you like it?

I'm holding out for good news, I had a feeling maybe today would be the day so I came back to check in on you. As soon as you give up and expected, you deliver! Way of the world. :p

Anyways, I'm much better today, even got a few small things done in the garden. However, not the DD is sick so I am nursing her back to health after she got stuffed up and spiked a fever. For your own good, you should all stay a few miles clear of my house!!!! Hahahaha

I am iffy on those... some people have had chicks eating them and they are not made for chicks. So just saying, my opinion is I wouldn't risk it.

Then do you have a suggestion of something else to use. The pine shavings are making a huge mess in the house. I'm trying to find a workable alternative that won't go through 1/4" HWC when the chicks dig around in it. I'm beginning to think we may just need to get some screen wire and put it on the inside of the brooder to hopefully keep the shavings in.

No matter what you use the dust is going to get worse and worse as they grow. Between the feather dander, poop dust, and everything else you only get more as the babies get bigger.
