Doublea.... Just wanted to let you know that the little tophat's eggs (and the ee and the bsl) are due to hatch on the 18th.


I just checked my incubator, and I'm hearing peeps! Hopefully I'll have a bunch of fuzzies tomorrow! Expecting ee's, australorps, black sex links and mixes.

OK guys, I'm planning on teaching a Jam Class at my house 1 Sunday next month. I have a few people interested, but I need at least 5 people so I can afford to cover everything to do it.

It has to be a Sunday for sure, its my only day off.

Anyone interested give me the days that would work for you and what times you would prefer. I know people have their family and church functions to put first, so I don't want to get in the way of those important things. I'll take everyone's information who's interested and try to schedule around everyone so it works.

The class will include a booklet that includes everything we cover, it will include several of my recipes and everyone gets to take home a jar of fresh jam. It's really quite fun and simple and I hope everyone learns a lot from it and has a blast. Snacks and drinks always included! Its quite a relaxing time. Its about 2-3 hours... depends on how much fun we have. Strawberries are in season so we'll do a lot with those. I may even cover pickles and other waterbath options... plus go over a few things with pressure canning in case you're interested.

Just PM or post here so I can make sure I count you. PM is best so I can make sure to respond to everyone interested quickly when its all set up with the details. Definitely bring a friend or family member. This may be an awesome Mother's day gift! We could all bring our mom's or our friend' who are mom's as a gift!

I think I may do this one.... I am flexible, please let me know.

I do have some barred OE chicks due to hatch 5/10 ish... OR I can do eggs.

And YES......... I did buy at the WCA today. Some Madagascar game chicks and some meat birds.
Chicks are quarantined up in the front of the house. And meat birds are out back in a tractor.

the fox doesn't come out for a midnight snack.

YAY, I can't wait to see pictures!! There is a CHANCE that the chick from the EE will be chocolate...so hold onto that one for a while. LOL
