The busy weekend is over! This weekend I put 24 Cornish X in the freezer (with hubby's help, of course), completed the stuff I needed to get done for work this morning, Cleaned out the 10 X 30 pen the meaties were in, and installed the teenagers in there. Got them all tagged, too. 16 Lav Orps, 14 BCMs, 12 Homegrown Orp mixes. Released the younger babies into the brooding pen...10 BCMs and 8 turkey poults. I also made two double batches of peanut butter cocoa krispie treats, a double batch of chocolate chip cookies, a double batch of cream cheese pumpkin muffins and a double batch of sourdough apple muffins all to take to work today.

(of course, I don't want to eat a one of them after all that baking!)

I was actually looking forward to Monday so I can get a rest!

and Mary.... I THINK that may say FNNEE ??? That was an OOps.. That is a frizzled Naked Neck Easter Egger. That should have been in "my" carton to go in the bator today. But it is a "FUN" chick.

Good morning everyone!! Hope it's a good Monday for you all...

rough night for us last night...DD#2 thought it was a perfect night to eat every hour for 20 minutes.

I must admit, I will be so happy when company leaves so I can spend some time napping and attempting to get caught up on sleep and housework/chores.
Hoping to weed & pick some peas today...we will see how well the baby cooperates and how well the other one cooperates as well!! LOL.

Glad to hear all had a good time at the chickenstock...sure wish it was closer so I could go!! Maybe one year one our babies are older DH will stay home with them all and I'll get to go for a day out... <dreams>

Mary - I can't wait to see photos of your newest additions from WCA!!
Beth - I can't believe you didn't come home with much!!

I'm proud of you...

No!!!! So sorry BHep! It's been a while do me to post, but I've been lurking here and there. Kinda got a web project that has me busy. If your bored it's www.Ashevillerc.com.
In other news I have a few project boys looking for a lady to be with! They are both bearded partridge silkies.

Have some new EEs in the bator, along with a few BCM'S. Should start piping Wednesday! Candled to find the Roo was only doing his job half the time. Lazy!!!!

I JUST sold 2 OE hens

I do have some barred OE chicks due to hatch 5/10 ish... OR I can do eggs.

I knew I should have posted something sooner. I was hoping for some hens, but I'll check with DH an see if we can get babies.
