Not sure the girls will lay much by then as they are old hens and only lay a few eggs......
think those hens are somewhere about 6-8 years old but I'm sure we can get a few eggs......
will work on it. I'll get Scott the take out the EE roo so the girls will be ready for Tank.

We had been considering getting Langshans and then decided not to but there was this CL ad for 2 hens

.....turned out to be a pair and yes.....got them.
Suppose to be only 5 months old so not laying yet.....time will tell.
They look a little rough and scuffy but should pretty up with some time and feed.

Somewhat of a victory, hubby was doing some yard work and paused to look over at the chickens happily scratching around in the run of the chicken tractor that he did an awesome job building, and he said you know those chicks are turning out to be nice looking chickens, I wondered there for a while what you had gotten into. LOL He has been somewhat opposed to me having chickens all along.

I'm excited. He is even trying to find me some buff orpingtons has a friend at work that has them, but he texted me this afternoon and said his friend's wife is not willing to give any of hers up, but that she would give us some eggs to hatch if we wanted....heee heee wonder if I could talk him into .....no that's pushin' but....
