My first batch was from tsc but I switched to starter organic from the farm supply. You can actually tell whats in it by looking

I hear there is a mill up in goldsboro that make there own feed and it like 100lbs for $10

So beth was so kind to offer up some hens to fill my rooster that all but one have gone to new homes . I will post some pics soon but I now have a lavender orph, 2 standard cochins that i got today. one all white and one blue with splashs really pretty and one americauna...Now i am back to where I started. I will post some pics tomorrow!

I think it is the place that I get my feed from. Well, I buy my feed from a local store, but the bags say it made in Goldsboro. Think it is Carolina Pride. Isn't that what you feed also?
I wonder if I can buy direct from them......

Tours? Us? We're just a little homestead and are nothing special at all. Visitors are always welcome, but it's certainly not a place to tour!

Hey! You're in Lumberton! You are certainly close enough to come for a visit. When that new henhouse is finished, would you like to see it? Hubby does a really great nestbox set-up, making it easy to clean out, with hinged drop-fronts on them. But I'll say up front that there are a lot of folks who do things better than we do. Still, I love seeing how everyone does things and get different ideas from everywhere. I always assume that everyone else likes to see how others do things, too.

I would LOVE to see it! I'm limited to my 4 hens since I'm in town (hmmm...think I could squeeze in a couple more one day, lol) but would love to see how people do things on a larger scale. BTW, I work in St. Pauls at the high school.
