We cleaned out the brooder box today, put fresh bedding down, made up a nest and moved the broody hen Hazel tonight. She was ticked at us for a little while but then settled onto her new nest. I candled the eggs again and I think most of them are developing right. Hoping for a decent hatch .21 days will be Thursday and Friday but I know it is possible for some to hatch early. I have a question though that DH brought up. How long do you let eggs go before you assume they will not be hatching?

thats a partridge! Not unusual anymore to hatch partridge from BBS eggs. It MAY feather in blue, or it may feather in blue partridge...hard to say because it all depends on the hidden genetics4 more hatched last night YAY gonna wait and see what happens with the last 7 eggs!
Ok I'm hatching only from my blue silkies, so is this a splash?
