I dont think it was a respiratory problem or anything like that, I really think, she is a very ditzy girl and I had recently put in new branches to make their run more interesting... I think she ran into one, scratched her eye and scared me half to death.
On another note, what could cause consistent soft shell eggs? Is this an issue that always requires the hen to be culled? She has access to oyster and egg shells but I have never gotten a hard egg from this girl. She is only 2 years old.

OK, because I love you all I really really have to share something that I'm unbelievably excited about...

I published my very first book tonight!! https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/240159

After a year of editing and proofreading and agonizing and writing and re-writing I thought I was ready to publish. BUT, I had a problem. When I started looking at getting an agent and sending the book around, it was really hard to categorize the novel! It's got some romance...but no sex so it doesn't fit into the Romance category. It's kind of chick lit...but not really. So I talked to an author who published their last novel through Smashwords and decided to give that a shot.

I decided to set the price really low (hey, it's my first novel), and made it available on all E-reader formats and computer formats so pretty much ANYONE can read it whether they have a Kindle or Nook, or just use a PC.

I'm so excited!!

It takes a lot of work to write a book! I'll be picking that up to read.

And....

Good Morning, Everyone!

Today our Biology Club is hosting a bake sale, so I got up this morning and started baking. Pumpkin cranberry muffins, which are my personal favorite.

Heading to Greensboro tomorrow to pick up my rabbits.

I am a reader, and I know that while I might have many good ideas for a book or 3, I can NOT do a whole book.

It's so nice to think that I just might know a real author (in a round about kinda way ya-know)
Good Luck
Scott
