Good Morning Everyone. Today is a hectic day for me. I had the worst bout of vertigo yesterday so I didn't do a thing...now I am behind schedule and have 4 cakes to make/decorate and box up before tomorrow. Anyone want to come over?!? Looks like the mixer will be getting it's workout and I will probably run out of eggs just in time for Sandy to make her visit Sunday!!

On a chicken/guinea/duck related note: DH has been coming home from work, going into the fridge and grabbing out some bread to hand feed to the ducks. Why? He says, "They look so cute sitting on the deck...I just had to give them something. I want them to really like me" - seriously?!?

To top it off...he too was sad we lost the "cutest chick ever" - Mr. Macho...Mr. NO Foo-Foo chickens allowed. Who would have ever thought?? It looks like Beth knows how to charm other women's husbands by contaminating them with the chicken disease!! He seriously asked me if we think we could do turkeys so we wouldn't have to pay an arm & a leg for turkey for the holidays.

Someone...HELP ME!! I don't think he realizes just how expensive our feed is and he keeps wanting to add BIG eaters to the bunch. I guess I can't complain though...seeing how he's coming over to the poultry side!!

Hollow - I am crossing all my crossables (which makes cake baking/decorating extremely difficult...hehe) and saying an extra prayer that your orange sign gets taken down today and you can start the process of restocking!!

I get paint from people that know I use it for odd projects, I end up donating some here and there, and then buy a bunch really cheap at yardsales. He said he found a couple gallons of outdoor paint that was old. Asked me if I wanted him to paint a couple coops. I told him to go for it. I REALLY should have asked what color he found.
The Dutch/Freerange coop and the 'Newbie' coop are now PINK.

This is what happens when a retired 67 year old man gets bored and has a mean streak.

Pictures coming tomorrow. He did a good job. Cleaned all the dirt from rain splash off and didn't streak it.
