North GA Fall Swap *Update pg 1*

Clarksville is good for me. Is the Coker sale barn the same as Alto. Seems to me if its not they are awful close together. Anyways, just over the mnt for me.

I guess that Coker's could be considered Alto, though I have never heard it referred to as that. Never heard of an Alto auction, either.

Yes, all ducks will be invited as well as quail, pheasants, turkeys, peafowl, finches and any other small two or four legged critters and eggs. My previous comments were an effort to make this event correspond to hatching season so everyone will have chicksof all types. May would be a good time, but as a schoolteacher's husband, I tend to think of that as a time to grade papers. Is late April too soon? I promise I will start a new thread soon.

Coker's is actually in Cleveland, GA. We just went there last night and found some cool stuff.

It is certainly closer to Cleveland than Alto and may have a Cleveland address. It is really out in the boonies, but fewer ticks of the odo to Clarkesville. There are some real bargains to be had there right now. It is a buyers' market now for sure. Prices will be higher in the spring, but there will be lots and lots of birds and the chicken/bird auction will last 7 or 8 hours alone.

Ok, I checked. It is about in the middle!

I think Coker's is 10%, all paid by the seller. Stuff is not bringing a lot right now. I have goten a little sidetracked from the spring swap, but I hope things are on track and I will start that new thread soon (yeah, you've heard that before!).
