North Ga newcomer

New to raising chickens. We have 3 white leghorns, 3 isa browns, and 2 barred rocks. They just started laying last month, so far so good

Yep, that's chickens for ya. Hens tend to use the same nest box even if you have several identical ones. Some will even lay an egg on top of the current resident. You might try to attract them to different nests by putting an golf ball in the others - so they think it was already used., and approved by another hen.

Yeah, I have 7 nesting boxes, but my hens are constantly fighting over 2 of them.
