Which breed is Wynonna?
At what age do you generally send them to freezer camp? I have 5 BCM that are 4 1/4 months old. They don't feel very meaty when i pick them up. I need to get them out of the pen, so i am going to probably just sell or give them away. They have bad toes, so I do not want to breed them.

Actually, the last ones we butchered at about 5 months. They weren't as meaty as I would have liked either, but each of them fed our family of 4 nicely (mom, dad, 5 yr old boy, 2 yr old girl)

And if given the choice between freezer camp or free, a meal sounds worth it

I'm in. Down to 32 eggs though and a few of them are iffy.

I'm in also, down to 11 eggs from 18. Mostly infertile,2 blood rings on the very first eggs from one of my girls. That's to be expected.

If anyone wants backyard mix eggs and is local, I'm more than happy to supply, no charge. My backyard mix would be red Dorking, silkie, possibly buff or white Ameraucana. I do have my buff hen in the mixed coop, waiting for her to wear out the fertility from the last rooster.
