I am supossed to have someone coming for chicks tmr.
they show up, I have 50 mixed breed fluffy buys to get out of here!!

I was going to go to the Kennewick show tmr, but I need to stay close to home due to some family issues. Probably a good thing cause I would have come home with something I am sure. HA HA

I read they were silent auctions and they don't close until 11:30. I really hope I don't miss everything.

I gave away some of my 3 year olds, (the oldest I have) The guy knows their age, He also wanted 5 of my roosters, some he was going to eat, some he was going to let run around. He just wants them until autumn then he will eat them, but hey I am not running a retirement home for hens.. I sold a BCM 2 year old to a gal that wanted eggs right now, but also a pet, and she bought 2 young LO mix chicks. I am down to about 20 birds, 1/2 are laying 1/2 are too young. I kept Splash for now

because he needs his turn to be dad.

and I am waiting for my favorite roo ever to come into his own


Above is Junior. He comes up for cuddles every morning and is sooo gentle. You know sometimes you love a bird so much, it is like you know something will happen to him.

I am trying to prepare my heart...I have been raising chickens 40 yrs or more, and this one (I say that with all my faves) is the "one" I think he knows...
he is Blue Isbar, legbar, and brama.

Very long and wonderful day. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. Won a few silent auctions, got to hang out with good people, won some raffles. Lots of fun. Next year, I'll definitely enter some birds into the show and also the auction.
Good experience.
