Ok, stupid question... What does "self blue" mean? I have seen that term used before.

The term self-blue is what lavender is called by some, in regards to bird coloring. With the Ameraucana, breeders have been trying to get the term lavender accepted (and I think it may have become recognized recently), but until it's accepted, the terms self-blue and lavender are interchangeable.
Hopefully @pips&peeps can correct me if I'm wrong.

My hatched chicks are doing fine, I have one Wyandotte hatching, (looks black) it was due the 10th, and one olive egger due the 10th...It was hard to take their pics, they kept moving and wanted to cuddle.
