I work graveyard that night, but can do it. I would prefer a bit later time though so I can get some sleep. I usually get up around 1 or 2. I am not sure where that is. I do not remember seeing a Mexican restaurant on Kathleen

My neighbors dogs just killed most of my birds   The only ones they didn't get are my mama and her 3 babies because they were in a separate room.  My heart is breaking...I just can't believe it.

Oh My Goddness... I know how you feel. Our neighbors 2 dogs came over, last year and killed 3 of my chickens...
I am so sorry you AND your birds had to endure this awful stress.
I keep my dogs outside ALL day long, to protect my flocks, and to keep predators away, since our massacre.
Our neighbors 3 yr old let the dogs out of her house, and she didn't know the dogs were out, until I called her and showed her the distruction her dogs did. We are still friends... and she keeps her dogs home now.

Waaaah!!!!

I lost two of my Saipan babies. I put them all out yesterday in one of the brooder pens with their mama brooder cave. The other four went in and stayed toasty warm. These two, both of the yellow ones would not stay in. They kept coming out and cheeping. I had to go to work and when i got home they were dead. Too stupid to go inside where it was warm. Survival of the smartest i guess. Makes me sad..

I'm sorry. Animals are unpredictable and curious, the way they do or don't do things to survive.

Today I went down to Genesee to get some pullet babies. She had them on CL before as Ice cream Bars. They are a Isbar/Cream Legbar cross. Hopefully I will get some pretty teal green/blue eggs out of these. Also she threw in another that would have been alone that is pure Isbar, unknown if it will be a pullet or cockerel. If it is a boy that will make 3 and I will be finding a new home for that one! My DH and I had a great adventure today. We scored at an estate sale also! Funny part is we were just going into Hayden to Walmart to pick up a couple of things and ended going all the way south.. I blame it on Rustlers Roost for breakfast... That is a story I will save for our get together...

It's in the same lot as Fred Meyer's. The acoustics are not good in there, if there are a lot of people, FYI

After pulling my clears, I had 15 so that was my count, 2 quit, I have these 13 left...

about 8 days in. 3 Serama eggs to the left, (one looks big, but it is camera angle) blue eggs are 3 Legbars, 2 eggs with red lines Ayam Ceramis, drk brown egg is a BCM/blue isbar mix, 2 or 3 barn yard mixes, 2or three LO mix.
