Howdy,
Like the title says, I'm from North Mississippi, New Albany to be precise. I am 52 yrs old and I am the managing partner of a restaurant here. When I was a kid I raised all kinds of feathered animals including ducks, chickens, and quail. I have a 5 yr old grandson and a 5 yr old great nephew, I am going to start raising some quail as a hobby hoping to draw their attention to nature as opposed to TV and video games. I joined to forum to jog my memory of things I already know as well as to learn more. We always bought day old chicks but now not many people are raising any kind a fowl and when you do find them they are very expensive, so I am planning on building an incubator and buying eggs to hatch and maybe keeping a few birds at the last of the season to make my own layers for next year. I am looking foward to learning from the forum and hopefully will be able to share information sometime that will help someone else.
Tom
