Buckeye. Quiet & gentle. They are also very cold hardy.

We dont have any leghorns(not that i dont want any... I do but they arent avail where we live) but they are amazing layers...

Not available? wow... can they be shipped? (I know thats really not the best for chick but I am curious)

Well yes we could buy from a hatchery but we have enogh juvenile birds that arent laying.. We got all of our chickens from a farm a little ways and they have never had leghorns

I may be waaaay off base but not sure how cold hardy leghorns are.
You said you have EE's which I think are great and I also have a few others. Buckeyes and chanteclers are very cold hardy, too.

It does get cold and it stays cold here... I have a friend the next town over who has a leghorn and like I said before I have heard mixed reviews but more on the temperament of the breed.
