How dark are Barnevelder eggs, April?

When my Barnies are dark they look like the ones they sell as organic dark brown in the store.

I hate taking young birds because Ive wound up with so many roos that way

but if you have started great...If not we'll figure something out as you are the awesome sexer!!! My broody is due for her eggs on the 25th! SOOOOO if you have none started I will take the itty bity chicks and stick them under her if you can sex them:) That way if she has a crappy or small hatch ...she will still have chicks:)

I only let the broodie hatch out once. But they are so cute with the Momma

This one was determined, so J gave her 5 eggs. She is down to 4 now. I am hoping for some silkie fuzz butts when I get home!
