Girls or a whether (neutered male) are easiest. Must not have horns...they get stuck in everything!

Most goats even pigmys and dwarfs are bigger than 25lbs...Sorry to be the negative nellie

This thread is so dangerous to my household. We have two children, my daughter has been after us for years to get a nigerian dwarf goat, and my son is on the bandwagon to purchase lavender ameraucauna chicks from Muggsmagee. I find it very difficult to find a good reason not too. We are also going to a bunny rescue this weekend in Syracuse. Gosh, someone tell me Noooo!

Sorry...if it was an email sent through BYC they get lost in my account with the various thread updates I get. I very likely deleted it by accident. PM me here, and we can talk.

Ahem! I do, I do...but will only be able to keep females. Our lot is small. I am looking into making goat milk soaps and cheeses.

I have 2 alpines that will hopefully have kids in May

one is bred with an Alpine mix buck and the smaller one is bred with my pygmy buck.

Alpine are suppose to be no less then 30 inches tall, but my does are defiantly smaller then that. Pygmy's are 16 to 23 inches tall, my buck is probably around 18 - 20. I will have to grab a tape measure tomorrow when I go out to feed them.
