I love my Norwegian Jaerhon flock for many reasons!! They are excellent free-rangers on our high altitude Colorado forest farm and seem to enjoy winter. They lay well 3 seasons and often give eggs during our deep winter, as well.
I love that they thrive with foraging for the main part of their diet during the summer. A light-weight bird, they produce an abundance of beautiful creamy white, good-sized eggs. Being an agile and alert breed that can fly short distances, they are talented at evading predators. The list of reasons to treasure these birds is long! I've been raising them for 7 years.
Eggs are packaged with great care and I am almost always able to include extras.
