I came home from work this morning and took the chickies a watermelon rind my parents gave me. I also took my chair into the pen as Momma and Pretty Girl like to hop on my lap and lay down. I was sitting there watching them eat the watermelon and just started looking around to see if I needed to do any cleaning and I saw it. Laying out in the pen in front of the coop. I stared at it a few minutes until it registered....I then yelled "I GOT AN EGG!!!!"
So then I really started looking around just in case I saw some more and there was another one!!
That one was under the coop near their waterer. I could not believe my eyes!!! When I saw the second one, I yelled "I GOT TWO!!!"
I picked them up, told my girls that were great girls to lay me not one, but two eggs. I came in the house and took a pic of them then took them over to mom and dads. I walked into their kitchen, and mom asked me why I was still up. Dad looked at me, standing there with the biggest grin on my face and said, "She's got an egg." I shook my head and said "nope!" then took my hand out from behind my back and showed them. They were as excited as I was. Here's the pic I took:
I have no clue if they came from the reds or one from a red and the other from my Buff Orpington. But I don't care.. I am ecstatic!!!!
Now, I'm too excited to go to bed.
