TOTAL NEWBIE here!!!! Need suggestions. I thought our young roo hurt his back. Took him to the lady we got him from and she says it like a virus or something. Maybe mites???? OK, yucky! Now that I see her birds and I look at mine, I think I need to do something for bugs. She gave him an injection for bugs and said to keep him confined (but let him see the other birds). I put him in a wire crate in the area w/ the other birds. He is eating and drinking normally. Poop looks normal. Acts normal but, seems like his thigh muscles are not working properly. He schuffles/scoots around (like he is crouching down to be 3" shorter). He does not stand up all the way. Other than that, he seems good. Everyone else seems ok (I have been watching them all). Someone does have the runs (brown/copper) but, no clue who yet. I am going to the feed store today and would like suggestions as to what I should get. I do not want to give injections so maybe something for in the water for bugs? I do use DE on the dirt floors and in the nest boxes. Not suprised if they do have bugs. We had a major squirrel problem and we do have mice (which I can not control). We rectified the squirrel problem. Any suggestions would be helpful as I am learning. Thank you!!!!!!!
