I love her, I really do. Bella is the sweetest of my chickens. But she is dumb. Really dumb.
The others (5 weeks old) have been going up the ladder to the coop for some time (and yes, I kept them in the coop and out of the run for several days so they knew where "home" is.) But Bella cannot figure it out. When the others go up, she just screams and screams til I come and get her.
I put her towards the bottom of the ladder and gently "shoo" her all the way up, hoping she'll get it. But alas, the scenario repeats several times a day. What's the trick? Will she eventually figure it out? It's not looking promising.
She does a lot of other dumb things. It's a good thing I love this chicken. My husband tells bad blonde jokes whenever he sees her.
